01The site
Walnut Timer is free to use in your browser, with no account. It's provided as is, without warranty of any kind: we work to keep it running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of bugs, and we may change, add or remove features at any time.
02Don't rely on it alone when it matters
A browser tool can only ring while its page is open. If the tab is closed, the computer goes to sleep or a locked phone freezes the browser, an alarm or timer can be late or silent. On iPhone the silent switch can mute it, and a tap is needed before the page can play sound.
So don't rely on Walnut Timer alone where a missed or late alarm or timer could cause harm, loss or danger, for example:
- taking medicine on time;
- cooking where food safety depends on the timing;
- exams or tests with legal or official consequences;
- waking up for a flight, a train or any other trip.
03Use a dedicated device as well
In those cases, set a second alarm on a dedicated device too, such as your phone's own alarm clock or a kitchen timer. Walnut Timer is a handy extra, not a safety system.
04Your settings and alarms
Your settings, alarms, recent timers, laps and focus totals are stored in your own browser. If your browser data is cleared, they're gone, and we have no copy to restore. Please don't rely on the site to keep records you care about.
05Using the site
Don't try to break, overload or attack the site, scrape it at scale, or frame it or pass it off as your own. The design, text and code of Walnut Timer belong to its operator, so please don't copy them. Share links, including countdown links, as freely as you like.
06Liability
Walnut Timer is a free tool. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for any loss from using it, including a missed or late alarm or timer, or lost settings and alarms. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that can't be waived.
07Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws that apply to the operator of Walnut Timer. That doesn't take away any mandatory consumer protection you have under the laws of the country where you live.
08Changes and contact
We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top of this page changes, and the current version is always here. Questions: [email protected].
